Took one decent photo today of a local hawk with another bird flying in the other direction. I believe the hawk is a Red Tailed Hawk. Where I shot this photo, a pair of these hawks can been seen almost daily.

One Simple Truth

Often we look up to are the ones who seem to have every thing. They are popular, attractive, and often rich. These very people seem to be the ones who disappoint us later. Then there are the others. They may be are so strange they scare people or just make everyone roll their eyes. These people often turn out to be really great people. I fall in between those two extremes, probably closer to the strange ones.

Lately I have become disabled. Something neurological. This made me re-think my life. But,surprisingly, in becoming more disabled, being unable to earn a living, and realizing it could get much worse, I have never worried. One day, I realized why. In the mist of becoming disabled, I realized I am God's child. The Bible tells you to accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior. Years ago I did this for real so I know I am his child. Just like a kid who has great parents, when they know they are there, everything is all right.

I believe all people struggle with being good enough. There are sure enough people telling you must do this, and don't do that. Jesus called God Father. A good earthly father loves and accepts his kids, no matter what. So I'm not perfect. God loves me anyway. Realizing this makes anything in life bearable. In my case that means facing a future of possible ever increasing disability and who knows what...

As simple of a truth as this is, it truly is all I need. No matter what, I know the future will be just fine.

I am not one who will pester you to be a Christian, but this simple truth means so much to me I just have to share it with everyone willing to read it.
